| The Smiths – Asleep Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I heard of this song just randomly downloading The Smiths tracks cos I liked what I'd heard of them. I know it's about suicide, but everytime I hear it, I think about those words being what my Grandad would've said on his last day if he could, because he was ready to go. It makes me cry! K x | |
| Regina Spektor – Samson Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| When I first heard the song, my friend told me about how it was based on the Biblical story of Samson and Delilah, and looking at BuffyX's description on page 1 it quite obviously is. I've never heard aother song that takes a character from the Bible who didn't get their story told and tells their story from their perspective - and such a simple thing, to say I love you. | |
| Robots in Disguise – You Really Got Me Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I like the original and I really like this cover of it, it has a nice girly twist and I think although it doesn't fit all that well with their own music on the rest of the album, good on them for having a go at a cover they liked, and it does work I think as a song. The whole album is pretty mismatch, so it doesn't stand out too much. | |
| Robots in Disguise – Cycle Song Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I think it's about the process of writing and being in the music industry, and is also quite self referential. | |
| Robots in Disguise – Bed Scenes Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Oh and I also thought it said 'Eating whipped cream' at the end. There are other sick people out their tiggy! lol x | |
| Robots in Disguise – Bed Scenes Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I like the verses, they're a bit dirty and a bit flirty. It's a really fun sexy song. | |
| Joshua Radin – Paperweight (with Schuyler Fisk) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Steve, I agree with you completely. I miss the feelings this song reminds me of. It's such a beautiful song. I love it. | |
| Robots in Disguise – Girl Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I like 'we're double X and we're proud of it' hehe not a scientist but I still get it and love it! | |
| Robots in Disguise – Turn It Up Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I agree with Nifty. And escapism is sometimes what music is about. | |
| Robots in Disguise – La Nuit Lyrics | 19 years ago |

This is the closest translation I think, although I'm not sure about 'flashes' and 'air'. The French have some strange expressions and things and I've tried to make it sound as English as possible. 'Tombe' is the word for fall, and 'tombeau' is the word for tomb. They sure like French, them RID girls! I breathe the soft air of the city City, city ah-ah I circulate in neon colours Neon, neon ah-ah I imagine myself in a French film French, French ah-ah In this goddam white Mercedes In this goddam Mercedes The night This night Oh night - oh the night without end Midnight, I am high with the party Party, party ah-ah The mix of cold vodka and the beat The beat, the beat ah-ah You flash on this Paris balcony Paris, Paris ah-ah And you excite me with your risky look! The night This night Oh night - oh the night without end Look for the fall of Gainsbourg at six o’clock Six o’clock, six o’clock ah-ah Our cocaine hearts in Montparnasse Coke, coke ah-ah We murder these airs These airs, these airs ah-ah Play hide and seek with the morning Play hide and seek! The night This night Oh night - oh the night without end |

| Robots in Disguise – Argument Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| They say at the beginning 'Picture the scene, crowds circle over 2010...flash back ten years, back to the start' The song was written in 2000 - does the song in fact deal with not current arguments but what might happen in 10 years? | |
