Even though this is Conor's early solo work, it's gorgeously unpolished. I think perhaps this is the song he wishes was sung to him as a child. The rest of the album is about his family and he usually works within concepts. I used to sing this to the little girl I babysat for. She was 3, but she learned it and sang along with me at bedtime. This song, and Blackbird by the Beatles. |
