The band version of this song is simply perfect, the second to last verse, where she says "i've been alone all along" and on the last syllabal of "All", the Drums and Guitars kick up a mighty sound, its amaizing. The middle of the night, windows open, fezzing cold, as loud as you can get it, perfect. See me through many dark days. Has anyone noticed that in the video, Amy Lee has bandages on her wrists, and never touches the floor? Whilst the bandages seem to be a referance to self harm, i dont understand the never touching the floor. Any thaughts? Beautiful. |

As with al Van Morrison songs, i think its just as much about his union with God, as it is his union with his Girl. Some of the things he says, i think, are more trying to put emotions into words, than actual actions, its more metaphorical than anything. |

This song perfectly sums up Christianity. Anyone who knows nothing about a Christians relationship with God, only has to listen to this song, and they'll know. They might not understand, for the connection cant be understood by anyone who hasnt felt it, but they'll know. Its an old Hymn, and Van covers it perfectly, absoloutely perfectly |

I think this song (After watching the video through a few times) might be about abusive relationships. "I think we have an emergency" - instantly conjours up fear, as if somethings wrong "And I can't pretend that I don't see this" - You cant hide from it. "No one cares to talk about it" - Especially husband beatings, it jsut isnt discussed. "I've seen you cry way too many times" - Who dosent cry when they get punched in the face? On top of this, watch the video, they are in a burnt out house, there is blood on the floor, one of them has a black eye, and one of the guys has bloody knuckles, they are all wearing red roses across their breast. The facts fit together, imo. |

Just like my last relationship actually... She knew the relationship would end for ages, dispite the promises they made to each other. She cant take the goodbye, and just wants to leave. Sounds more like marriage, than bf/gf, because she talks of promises, almost like they are Vows. |

I think its being with a guy, and loving him. "but I can't find the words to tell you I don't wanna be alone, but now I feel like I don't know you" - But he's slowly changing and becoming a bigger person (i would assume/hope) and she allmost cant keep up with the change. She pretends that everything is still fine, but she knows it isnt. "please don't get me wrong because I’ll never let this go" -She dosent want to lose him though, she still loves him. |

My favourite song, of al ltime infact. Speaks of perfect relationships, needing the other person to live, and life feeling so strange without them. But it also mentions trouble in the relationship, where things didnt go well, and it was really hard. A survivors song in my books |
