ahhh thanks! yeah, you're right, coz i went on their website and they explain the story behind every song. i'm guessing the part that alternates between tom and danny is the view of ann? dougie should definitely write more often! |

I agree with the two comments above me. It seems like Danny wants to write about something that he's so young and inexperienced in, he's asking things from a child's perspective to show his innocence. Beautiful song. |

Wow okay I've listened to this song so many times, and I have no idea what its about. I know that Dougie wrote it, and I know he's a little weird. I was definitely not suprised he wrote lyrics such as these, because they seem to jump all over the place, and are a little dark and weird. If anyone could pitch in what they think, I'm madly curious... |

| McFly – Star Girl Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This song is about falling in love with an alien, as I've heard Tom say in an interview. The "Uranus" part shocks a lot of people when they first hear it, and I have to say I thought it was hilarious. But then I realised he was singing about the planet, and I lost interest. | |
| McFly – She Falls Asleep, Pt. 2 Lyrics | 19 years ago |

Yes, I agree with what the person above me said (kirotourmaline) about her being suicidal but not actually committing. And the fact that there is no solution to the problem, which I find was very real of Tom to write. He's moved on from the "lets tell a story literally in one whole song about me and some girl". In part 1, the music is sensational. It always sends shivers down my spine, and I have so much respect for Tom because he wrote it all. Part 2 is a great follow-on to Part 1. It continues the story that was being told by the music, but instead he just tells us upfront what's going on. Props to Tom for producing this song. Definitely one of my favourite Mcfly songs. |

Okay, so I know this may or may not make a difference to some people, but I think Tom wrote this song when he was like 16. Not saying that it makes it better, I just give him credit for trying is all. I don't like this song that much, nor do the lyrics mean much to me. Seems like they're telling a story of having it rough, and that somehow things will eventually work out okay as long as you're patient. It kind of has the same sort of meaning as "I'll Be Okay". And what someone else said previously, I too dislike the way they seem to "Na na na" a lot. |

| McFly – Little Joanna Lyrics | 19 years ago |

i always got the feeling that they were either referring to a fat girl or a really skinny girl. (opposite ends, i know) the constant use of food as analogy got me wondering, and the fact that its "LITTLE joanna" made me think either they're using contrast for humour or literally saying that she's a little person. i used to think it was about a little girl, maybe a relative such as a younger sister or cousin. but then the mention of thighs usually means something a little more sexual. so i'm still not sure.... ps. great song. absolutely love it. |

| McFly – I Want To Touch You Lyrics | 19 years ago |

ha. i heard this before i heard AAY. its funny what they did with their own song, and i would like to think they do it often with their other songs as well...makes it a bit more interesting. |

| McFly – Friday Night Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
so this song is the theme song for the movie "night at the museum", which is about dinosaurs coming to life during the closing hours. at first, before knowing it was for the film, i also thought that "i think i'm gonna lose it, lose it, lose it" was all about his virginity, as you would on a friday night. but as soon as i heard what the movie was about, it all seemed to fit into the storyline of the film. there are some parts that don't make sense to me, assuming the song was written directly for the movie. lines such as "we could be together" kind of weirded me out. |

| McFly – Bubblewrap Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
i absolutely love this song. tom's voice in it isn't as whiny as it normally is and it seems like the song has a lot of meaning. its a sad song, but its nice to listen to. i like the fact that they took a serious song such as this, about (from where i see it) breaking up and losing trust in people, and they put the title as "bubble wrap". its a strong metaphor, about protection and a somewhat barrier from people. but when i first saw the title, i wasn't expecting a song like this at all. misleading as it was, i think thats a good thing that they did, such as "broccoli". |
