| I Am Kloot – Storm Warning Lyrics

I always interpreted "Is there a storm comin', or are we just another shower?" as a reference to revolution. Is this generation going to change something in a storm, or will it just be another ineffectual shower. "I would have kept you free from harm, rang the bells or raised alarms, I would have kept them all at bay, except I thought I heard you say, you're the leper boy, you can't come in" seems to mean there always people trying to change things, but they're always rejected. |

| The Strokes – Hard To Explain Lyrics

I have to point out that because The Strokes are American the lyrics should be "cuz this is a zoo" not "cos this is a zoo." Not that it matters. I've always thought this song was about ennui and desperation, but that's just me. |

"but then I stop to think and ask myself why,
it's one of those things that darling that you must try"
These are some of the greatest The Libertines lyrics. This song rivals Time for Heroes and Don't Look back into the Sun |

| Rammstein – Amerika Lyrics

I think that America is the big country getting into others' affaires, but many countries have done so. Our culture has spread around the world, but similar things have happened before. For centuries, nobles (in Europe, anyway) would speak Latin instead of their native language, now people learn English. The movies and entertainment are made by or at least aimed at Americans, so the major culture in the world is American, for now. When another power rises then the world will complain about them. By the way, many of you do not need to apologize for your English, du kannst Englisch besser als ich kann Deutsch. |
