i think its about cancer. chromosomes "revolting" and "pulling blades" from the DNA helix might refer to DNA mutations. "I’m the coil unfolding screwed back up, I’m the flower unfurling, buttercup" - this is when the DNA helix splits apart in the reproduction proccess. when the DNA strands re-combine, thats when mutations occur. "leave the body to spoil, let it rot" sounds fairly cancerous to me |
