| Yellowcard – Life Of A Salesman Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Obviously a sarcastic response to the play "Death of a Salesman", Yellowcard is commenting on the pure wrongness of the play. In the play, Arthur Miller portrays Willy Loman (the father) as a bad guy because he is throwing his kids in all sort of fantastic directions that never happen. It's basically a play shitting on dads who give their kids too much unrealistic hope (ex. fathers who say they will be amazing NFL football players). Yellowcard is taking a shit on Arthur Miller and saying "what is a dad for?" They are supposed to give us hope. And I happen to agree with Yellowcard. | |

I think it's pretty obvious this song is bout the attraction of alcohol. Alex and the band are bashing alcohol lovers pretty hard... Degenerate, throwing the wreck of life. (degenerate definition from dictionary.com : to fall below a normal or desirable level in physical, mental, or moral qualities; deteriorate: The morale of the soldiers degenerated, and they were unable to fight), saying that you're giving your life away Someone is spilling your own blood. Someone else is killing you and your too stupid to see. That's very hot, scars already made. Maybe about a young person and how scars are made when people start drinking at a young age. Ready for another drink anyone? obviously a rhetorical and sarcastic question. Most of it is self explanatory. |

| From First to Last – Ride The Wings Of Pestilence Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Judging by the music video, they didn't hint at all to the fact they were "making fun of pop bands complaining". ..I feel like this is a serious song. I'm not saying it definitely is that, it's totally possible it's a joke. I just don't see it. Nevertheless, awesome song. | |

Ok, my interpretation could be way out there but when I heard this song this is what came to my mind. I think it is about a guy who is loosing his wife, who will go to heaven because she is faithful to him. He is losing her not because she is dying, but because he used to be someone different and have a different life and he has been holding on to that side of him and he is living his life "in misery" because he has to choose between his wife and who he used to be. In the end he starts saying he'd "sacrifice this world to hold you" and decides to choose "here i am with you i'm there til the end" and when he says "memories are calling so farewell my friend" he is referring to who he used to be, possible an alcoholic and alcohol was his friend or something like that, and he is saying bye to his friend to be with his wife and child. |

"I don't like to make things too obvious because if its too obvious it becomes stale." -Kurt Cobain That quote makes me believe this song does not have to do with a real bridge. I think most of the time he tries to get people to think. Remember, we're dealing with a genius here. I don't think Kurt is as simple as "I lived under a bridge and ate fish." |
