I actually think I understand this song. Tell me what you think :] 1. Wait, dear White horses walking down my street here Your words are creeping at my feet I fear The sunrise will come too soon And you’ll disappear To the haze of the city and yourself Oh yeah [The white horses that he is talking about symbolizes the "knight on a white horse" that is in any child's fairytale. "Your words are creeping at my feet" I think is saying how he can see these horses and knows what she wants (a perfect fairytale knight) but doesn't know how to grasp and put into actions how he feels for her. And, because of this unknowing, "The sunrise will come too soon" (In fairytales, the prince and princess gallop off together romantically in the sunset, but the sun rose too soon for him.) Because of this, this woman disappered to the haze of the city and yourself (she disappeared because she knew she could find better...what she really wanted) The rest of the song I don't understand as well...but I think it's about him dealing with the realization that she left him for "all the stars and boulavards" trying to find the one that treated her right...when all along, he was there beside her. |
