I'm not christian at all. I'm straight up atheist. But still I love Switchfoot, their one of my favourite bands. And why I do love them so much is that they are not that obvious Christian. Some songs, like Only hope is of course obvious. But it annoys me when people always have to say this CAN'T be about ANYTHING else than about God. It's like huh? If words are able to have different meaning doesn't mean that people can choose it to be THAT particular meaning and say that everything else is wrong. The band might have chosen it to be that meaning, but they also made it so people can make different views on it. And in my opinion it's just an incredible love song. Whether it's the love of a boy/girl or god is up to the person who listens to it. |

oh god i love this song! The meaning of this is song is pretty simple. A couple that is about to break up. The one is giving up the other one asks to please not. Even though the meaning is simple, this song says so much! I'm in love over how they have used the words.. and i love the line 'no matter where you go, we're just an inch apart' Strata deserves more attention than their getting.. |

this is an awesome song! It gives a warm and cosy feeling.. lol i'm wierd I just thought it was about a guy that travelled away from her.. They werent together but he wanted to kiss her and tell her that he liked her before he left or something.. just my opinion! but the other theory was really good. Better i think. |

my personal opinion: I know people say it's about a midlife crisis.. but i dont think it has to be.. yeh i know he says rushing through thirty.. But it can also be much younger persons.. about a person than want changes.. he dont really like his life because it's miserable.. ''Can you add, color, inside these lines'' i really really like this line.. it dont need to be a particular person just ANY person! a friend a girlfriend, his mom a stranger.. just someone that brightens up his day at makes it more exciting!
