Fightstar...Probably released one of the better albums I've heard in a bit from the genre-I find the songs quite promising-And yes, like aforementioned by others...THe drummer is just fucking wicked on this track..And Ive always loved Charlie's vocals..This is certainly a different direction from the insanely popular Busted..Who I thought were actually not that bad-..The only thing i find off putting is how much Charlie "Eye brows" Simpson is trying almost to hard to be accepted into the post hardcore rock genre...it's ok to remember where you came from....After all if not for his past there wouldnt have been all these doors already open for fightstar-Anyways nothing groundbreaking but an impressive display none the less. |

So much hate goin' on...Busted was simply a "pretty good" pop punk-rock band.....Who's songs were upbeat and fun...and yes, at times quite catchy....Sure they were three posh looking lads who where heavily taken in by the young teenage female crowd..With the posters on the wall and the braces still in the mouth...But 'cmon...You'd take the gig if u had the chance...But all in all they were very successful in England obviously(As short lived as they were)...Not so much in the U.S. ---And who can deny Simpsons' eye brows! |

Beetlebum-Ok here we go-Its likely to be a reference to the comedy prank show Beadlebum from which the song uses distorted sound clips and a line in the chorus mimics the catchphrase. Damon himself stated in an interview with MTV that the song describes a complicated emotion, sort of sleepy and sort of sexy. THe band has also mentioned alternately in interviews, tht musically the song was inspired by the song "All Together Now" by The Beatles, "Aint love Grand?" by the Opd, and Guded by Voiced. |

Supersonic-In spite of its popularity, Gallagher claims the song is basically a collection of nonsense lyrics written in a matter of minutes, just before the band entered the recording studios to record the track. THe identity of ELsa cause some confusion-according to the song-she done it wt a doctor on a helicopter she sniffin in a tissue sellin the big issue. NOel claims someone told me Supersonic was about teenage prostitution. It has since been revealed that Elsa was a nine stone rottweiler wt a flatulence problem who was in the studio on the day the song ws written, hence the line shes into alka seltzer. |

THe tune began life as the song written about noels fav english football club-Manchester CIty. The live Because we need each other we believe in one another were originally Its tough being in blue when u come from where i do a reference to MC playing in a blue shirt. According to THE MASTerplans sleeve notes The song is about friendship in the widest sense and not, as often speculated, about the Gallagher brothers themselves. |

Noel has said that the lyrics are inspired by his own laziness. Some othe the second verse, with the reference to begging his doc' for one more line seems to be referring to an actual event as this resembles Noel's account of how he gave up cocaine in 1998. |

Dont look back in anger-Noel said of the song "it reminds me of a cross between All the Yound Dudes and summat the Beatles might've done. Of the character Sally referred to in the song he commented "I dont actually know anybody called Sally. Its jst a word that fitted, u know might as well throw a girls name in there. Its gotta guarantee sombody a shag off a bird called Sally hasnt it? Noel claims Lyla from the 05 single is the sister of Sally. Liam said tht it was him who came up wt the line "so sally can wait." Neol admits "I was doing the so Sally bit in sound check-but i wsnt singing tht- and Liam says 'Are you singing so Sally can wait?' and i said NO. and he said , well u should. Originally it was said to be Crowley-as in Aleister Crowley. |

Champagne Supernova-Noel got the title when he misheard the name of the Pixies album Bossanova while watching a documentary about champagne. ANother version of the story is that a champagne supernova is the experience of smoking marijuana while drinking champagne. Gallagher later purchased a house in North London that he named Supernova Heights. Noel came up with the phrase "Caught beneath the landslide" when he saw an Alessi Gianni sugar jar in his girlfriends kitchen. U can see this peculiar jar in the CD booklet where the lyrics are printed. |

Ok here we go...The song, according to Noel, is about losing someone close and it was written when his mother, Peggy, was hospitalised and suspected of having cancer. His mother did not have cancer, but the experience gave Noel the idea to write something "quite bleak." It has also been claimed that rhythm guitarist Bonehead requested Noel write a song along those lines after the death of his own mother.Liam claims to have cried whilst recording this song, as a result dwelling on a certain thing. He said in a 1997 interview "I just thought 'fuck that, i cant be singing this song' and i had to go away and sort myself out." Listening back to the song he admits to being very proud of his vocal performance. |
