took me like 30 secs, why don't u just look up the lyrics inside the cd cover? "Amused by the trials and tribulation" the lyrics posted for this are correct. A different song for In Flames, still like it though. I'm usually not used to bands changing their sound, I actually hate it, but In Flames is still awesome. At least they wern't like Atreyu and went from 100% screaming from the main vocalist to mostly singing when Alex isn't the greatest at it, and the music isn't as good anymore either. In Flames still has it. |

i completely agree with metalshreadhead, although i think they have completely left thier old sound, and from what i've heard they havnt been playing old stuff at concerts, my friend in NY said they played no old music at all.. it rly sucks cause now im going in like a week to see them and they wont play any of the music i like.. if it was a completely diff band and i heard the music i would prolly like it and think it was pretty good, but for atreyu to just completely change it up like this, i dont rly like it cause it sucks in comparison.. they were my fav band for a long time, i actually cried when they released 'becoming the bull' cause it was like wtf is this, and what the hell is the cd gonna be like... >.< the concert is still gonna be sick tho, just to be able to see them. i've obsessed over this band for years now (and my poster of them ;>) and im prolly gonna die when i see them. ah! and if they play anything at all, even 1 song from suicide notes and butterfly kisses.. well that'll have to be good enough. and Vaega.. go fuck yourself :) |

The first time i heard this song... my friend clicked to play ti on my comp, when i heard that laughing i was like "What the HELL are you lsitening too?!?!" then when she said "your music Kate! what the hell!" was pretty funny, awesome song though. i cant beleive how hard it is to find this cd... then it goes for 60$ + at least!! The part where it says "Learn to love your enemies" sounds pretty cool, but im still finding it hard to memorize all the lyrics, cause no doubt, they get kinda hard to understand sometimes... Really good song though, more people should get into what Underoath used to be, cause it's really different, and really good. |

Are you people retarded? Marc does scream in this song, and i'd say he'd pretty damn good at it lol. If you actualy have A Death-Grip On Yesterday and watched the DVD of when they were recording some of it then you would know that it is Marc. I hope Marc gets some good screams in their new cd, although with the one song they did just release on their myspace late last night, I'm not having to much of a good feeling about the amount of screaming in this new album... hopefully it's just like an Ex's and Oh's, one song with barely any screaming thats still really good, but the rest is still mostly all screaming. I doubt that any album will ever be as good as Suicide Notes and Butterfly Kisses, but it doesnt mean the rest arn't going to be good. |

This is one of my many favorite Atreyu songs. I'm going to quote word for word what alex wrote inside of a limited edition of Suicide Notes and Butterfly Kisses in jan. 2004. "This is drawing on a personal experience I had with someone. I kind of embellished it to form a song. In a way the song could be about true love "cause I will carry you on a broken back and blown out wings...live, love, burn, die" says it all. We live, we love, we burn with passion and desire for life and then we die. The key is to burn, to really live, experience life, feel passionate about something and give your whole being to it. This is my favorite Atreyu song. I love how it says "my apologies..." the lyrics r amazing, a vampire who trapped himself, trying to contain his bad ways, and lamenting about how he is so lonely he cant handle it, and he will die, he dreams that the wolves eat out his soul and tear out his heart. he fears romance, has the strength to not forgive, finds joy in sorrow, and feels the pain of living, he apologizes not only for being 'the walking dead heartbreaker' but also apologizes that he will kill again, and for still breathing. he's happy that no one will understand what its like for him, trying hard to contain his evil self from hurting people, but he will still kill again, because the taste of fresh blood is what pushes him on. he used to be good but then he turned and now sees everything darker then it is. This could all just be a metaphor, using a vampire as an example of how he used to be a "golden", but then he decided to go out of the way of light or good ("but then the turning came, and I kissed the sun goodbye") and he feels trapped by trying to contain himself from hurting people, he wants God to help him because he dreams/feels that he is going to die because of everything bad he has done, but yet he still finds joy in sorrow and feels the constant pain of living and told himself it could ease the tension that is burning inside. He fears ever loving anyone because he will hurt them, and he knows he has the strength to not forgive them for anything, and the nights are cold perhaps because he is alone, and he will die alone. Hope you liked my opinion on it, jsut an idea, nothing more, peace. |

I am ashamed of this song, and soem of mcr's new music. What happened to the complicated metaphors and hidden meanings of the music? This new cd seems so quiet, and almost shameful compared to the last cd.. mcr ahs always been my favorite band, but why put all this talent they have to waste? The Black Parade did not impress me much, when i heard it, there was nothing much that drew me into it. i still love mcr, but i was not very happy with the straight forward lyrics, more happy sounding melodies, and no guitar that really sounds as good as before.... i know they can do better then this! Even my friends agree that this is a new sound, but not as good as before. they used to have songs, that each sounded nothing like the next, some very quiet, some more loud, and the lyrical metaphores were the most amazing thing i had ever seen. I'm sad to say that The Black Parade upset me. not meaning to be harsh, i just know what i know about mcr, and know that this is not their best. |

This is my favorite song, not just by mcr, but out of all music. it had over 300 playcounts on my comp when i could still listen to mcr (4 months ago), and i listened to that song, along with all the others, several times a day on my mp3 and the cd's. Gerard's voice is unbelievable in this song, i love the lyrics so much, and by the way siknutz, u can go to hell, because i've spent countless hours reading everything that everyone has said about mcr, and i appreciate the people who take the time to explain every single thing about each song. |
