| Bayside – The Ghost of St. Valentine Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| i think it's "appetite is lust at best". this song is fucking sick though. | |
| Bayside – A Call To Arms Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| it is suburban soldiers. oh and hi carly it's christina! | |
| Bayside – A Long December (Counting Crows cover) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| i love counting crows, but i love the cover more. anthony's voice sounds beautiful, it's so soothing. | |
| Bayside – I and I Lyrics | 19 years ago |
i was there at the crazy donkey too, he gave a little explanation. i forget it now but it was basically about how we're all in this together. it's just about getting over the shit that happens to you, and putting a lot in perspective. this is how i think the accident came through in the albums lyrics. they didn't write about the accident or losing john or anything that happened, but how theyre feeling as people afterwards. it really shows you how strong they are as people, it's inspiring, especially during a hard time in your life |

| Bayside – Head on a Plate Lyrics | 19 years ago |
this song is the reason why i've always loved bayside how they don't back down from what they stand for. "I'm loosed lipped now shaking back and forth Problem fixed I'm pouring out my soul I find the right words to express myself Instead of fitting ‘round pegs and 'round holes And what a lovely day for a symphony Full with honesty and integrity So take this for what's it worth Originality’s not a curse" that part gives me chills every time i listen to it. |

| Bayside – Duality Lyrics | 19 years ago |

some of these lyrics are off. i think it's about being in a relationship, and sort of being split down the middle with feelings and stuff. he's tried every way to keep the relationship going, but the truth is that he's torn. he sees that the relationship is dying even though he's desperately trying to keep it alive. then he talks about how he doesn't really believe in fate deciding your life and how he can pretend that he's balanced when it comes to feeling apathetic and thrilled, but the doubts really outweigh everything else. the video concept is amazing and describes the overall theme of the song, he has two different sides sort of battling eachother each day. |

| Bayside – Dear Your Holiness Lyrics | 19 years ago |
lsxgkasdgdfln i love this song. i think that it's just based on the confusion that he's feeling and that i know i'm feeling about god. a while back he wrote a blog centered around writing the lyrics to what turned into this song, and he was talking about how he doesn't feel like there's a reason to praise god if the truth is that whatever happens in your life is in your own hands and based on how hard you work and the decisions you make. this and brand new's "jesus christ" are my two favorites when it comes to the subject of god and stuff. |

| Bayside – Choice Hops And Bottled Self-Esteem Lyrics | 19 years ago |
these lyrics are way off, but this song is amazing nonetheless. it is sickening when people use alcohol and getting trashed as an excuse for ridiculous behavior. bayside always comes up with the most creative ways of getting across what they want to say, i love them. |
| Bayside – Carry On Lyrics | 19 years ago |
i just think he's addressing an ex girlfriend who turned to him for a relationship when in reality she was needy to have anyone, and as we know lust and obsession never last like love would. he's tried repeatedly to get her out of his life and undo the problems she created, but he's finally changing for the better. this song is wonderful, and the beat is extremely catchy. |

| Bayside – A Rite of Passage Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| clare i completely agree with you. the part "i've realized that i don't wanna be judged no more" is so personal and if you're really listening to the song, it hits you really hard. i love the fact that it's just anthony with none of the other guys playing. his vocals are absolutely amazing on the entire record, but that one part really exposes not only how he's feeling but also how unique his voice is. | |
| Bayside – (POP)Ular SciencE Lyrics | 19 years ago |
this is definitely one of my favorites if not my favorite bayside song. probably my favorite line in the song is "good thing bad trends fade away, it's so much cooler in the shade". it's just such an incredible song, especially given what's been going on with music and bands just not caring about anything except getting to the top and having fans who stick with them until there's a new "next cool thing". i could talk about this song forever, everything about it is perfect. |

| Bayside – The Walking Wounded Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Yeah, the guest vocals are Vinnie from IATA. Bayside just keeps getting more and more amazing. I can't wait for the new record. The guitar solo is incredible. "You stretch the truth like a crooked salesman Telling lie, after lie After lie, but wheres the line You burn bridges You're breaking down dams" I love the way the 'telling lie, after lie. After lie, but where's the line?' part is broken up. Anthony's voice sounds amazing in this song. |

| Bayside – Dear Tragedy Lyrics | 19 years ago |
She either cheats on him, or suddenly leaves him. He thinks about getting revenge, and how she doesn't know about love. Even though he had never had someone, he admits that he'd rather be alone than deal with being strung along by someone who he really cared for, and who faked feelings back. |
| Bayside – Half A Life Lyrics | 19 years ago |
It's just a really good song about bitter feelings, to an old friend. "I hope one day you understand that a girl on your arm won't make you a man." It's really a simple lyric, but there's so much meaning to it. The guitar solo is incredible. Jack never fails. |
| Bayside – Don't Call Me Peanut Lyrics | 19 years ago |
To me, it's about him being in a relationship with someone who he keeps going back to, even though she's doing things behind his back. He says he "spiked her cup" with all of the bad things worrying about her has given him. He says that he's going to try and confront her, but she'll turn it around and use the same old excuses, and just like every other time, he'll put his tail between his legs. He's afraid he'll never really realize he deserves better than knowing she cheats, and will be stuck in this position for a long time. She swears to him that she's in love with him, but he knows that she's never truthful. They're the most amazing band on the planet. |
| Bayside – Existing In A Crisis (Evelyn) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Foundation4life, he's not saying this girl is like a world famous celebrity, he's just saying he gave her a name in their circle. Her relationship with him "put her on the map". "And occupy a shallow grave, as shallow as you are" Best line in this song. There's also something about the way his voice sounds in this verse, that's just so full of emotion. |
| Bayside – Blame It On Bad Luck Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Maybe my favorite song on the record. It's so easy to relate to. He figures that after hard times in his life, it's easier to blame luck and fate than to actually be held accountable for his actions. He wonders if finally realizing that your life is meaningless will drive you to make improvements, or just lead you to dying too early. While running away from his problems was a quick fix, it also left his dignity and everything else behind. Now that he knows it's no good, he's determined to find a way to get himself out of the mess. Now that he's older, he knows that he'd give anything to be in the position he used to be in, before he experienced any of his firsts. |
| Bayside – Montauk Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Besides it being based off of one of the greatest movies, it's just really good if it's taken at a level of someone looking back, wondering how their relationship with someone got so complicated. | |
| Bayside – They Looked Like Strong Hands Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Yeah, John does say that on the DVD. This song is perfect, and one of my favorite songs they play live. "Just don't tell me this doesn't mean the world Cuz my ears would bleed, my heart would hit the floor" This is also one of my favorite Bayside lyrics. Anyone who has a passion can relate to it. People telling you that it doesn't mean the world is the worst thing to hear. |

| Bayside – Tortures Of The Damned Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I'm not sure if I think the song is dealing with fessing up to an alcohol problem, at all. I think it's just about how he's reflecting on how he's lived so quickly, and such a fast life might lead him to die too young, but it was his choice. I think the "I chose this cup that I drank from Knew what I was getting into" means that before he made any choices, he knew what he was doing. Even though he tells about the struggles hes dealing with, there's a positive light on the situation when he says "I've made mistakes, but I'll find my way". |

| Bayside – Devotion and Desire Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I disagree with what someone said earlier. I don't think he's talking to himself when he says "if you're not ready, you're not ready. please, stop acting like you are." He's directing it to the person who's made him so bitter over lying to him about her devotion to him. The most amazing part of the song, to me, is, My mouth’s shooting blanks. This situation’s unbearable, I’ve gotten vulnerable. Now anyone is free to waltz right in. My temple’s been invaded and there’s nobody guarding it. All over this lonely life, but what’s so wrong with being all alone? Alone’s the only way I’ve ever known. |
| Bayside – Hello Shitty Lyrics | 19 years ago |
To me this song is about the bitterness you feel when someone, whether it be a friend or a boyfriend/girlfriend drops your friendship. After he realizes that the petty bullshit they add to his life is just holding him down, he ends the relationship, no longer caring about salvaging the friendship. Even though the person will try and back themselves up, they can never take back the words they said. I think the gift was the fact that he cared about the relationship he had with that person. He lets them know that even though they think they're better off now, he'll be there saying "told you so", when they realize how good of a friend he was to them. |

| Say Anything – Little Girls Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I hate, hate, hate what you are. (I want to flush out your family line.) Cuz i'm the punk rock, punk rock star! (You're everything I despise.) I hate, hate, hate what you are. Probably my favorite part, it just says a lot about what I think the meaning of the song is; Max speaking out about these little teeny girls treating Say Anything as a trend and having absolutely no understanding about what he's saying. And, they are incredible live. |

| Crash Romeo – Get Up Shut Up Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I like Crash Romeo a lot, however this isn't my favorite song on the album. They're really great otherwise, in my opinion. | |
