| i love this song, but i think the line about people who join the army is a little unfair, ("I’m not brave or proud of nothing I just want to kill something..") i dont think nearly anyone joins the army for that reason, i think they honestly beileve they are fighting for something, but they just dont really understand whats going on, or they dont know what to do with their lives...i dont know..but either way, but i get its there to make people think about it...but honestly, most people who listen to this already agree with it, and if not...they're probably to pig headed to consider anything else. | |

i don't see whats wrong with opinion oriented lyrics, obviously this song isn't his best. but that doesn't really matter, i don't think this song is about that. I do happen to agree with him too. Its ridiculous for anyone to say they literally "talk to god." If you do, your obviously insane, and if you believe anyone that says that, your insane too. Also, its not making fun of god in anyway, your obviously an idiot if you think that. Its just trying to bring to light the sons of bitches who abuse the word of god. I don't understand why its such a bad thing to bring politics into art. There are so many people out there who don't even care about whats going on in our world, (politically). Who knows... maybe a song like this would stir up something inside someone, make them try to better understand whats going on. Songs like this also stir up debate, which is never a bad thing. If Authority isn't questioned, we're letting them get away with anything. So i guess, basically, it doesn't matter if you agree with this song or not, but don't trash it because of the way the message is delivered. its not meant to be poetic or beautiful, its meant to spark up something inside of people |
