It's a sample from the 1975 Robert Redford film, 'Three Days of the Condor.' Not sure what the relevance is though.

Radiohead – Let Down Lyrics 15 years ago
My favourite Radiohead song, no idea what it is supposed to mean nor do I care. Those of you old enough to remember prog rock (and admit to listening to it) will know what I mean, great art is about perception more than transmission or something like that! I love the bit about 'growing wings' though, that always made me think about changing and change is always good.

Radiohead – Fitter Happier Lyrics 15 years ago
Possibly the most powerful poem about the modern western condition I've ever heard and truly depressing. More relevant today than it was in 1997 when it was referencing the left-overs of the yuppie 80s, which were at least based on something concrete, now all most of us have are broken dreams paid for with credit. Read Oliver James' excellent polemic 'Affluenza.'

Radiohead – Street Spirit (Fade Out) Lyrics 19 years ago
My favourite song. Ever.

It is very unusual in being some hopelessly despairing and then ends with possibly the most beautiful line ever committed to tape 'Immerse your soul in love.'

Is this about some guy trying to free John Gotti from prison?

Yes – South Side of the Sky Lyrics 19 years ago
This is also one of my all time favourite tracks. As with all of Yes's work, it is beautifully composed and played. About 15 years ago I was doing a basic media course and created a video to go with this song that was shot on Irish hilltops in the dead of winter. We used some shots of turbine blades on a windfarm that went perfectly with the bit in the middle (before the brilliant drum roll).

The song always made me think of a party of refugees tyring to escape some terrible atrocity and taking a desperate flight over snowfields. The leader (maybe father) tries to keep everyone moving, but it is becoming pointless as they succumb to the harsh conditions.

That's what the video was supposed to evoke, but it wasn't very good!
