I love the version from Lucia Micarelli on violin, and Leigh Nash vocals. It's an amazing, amazing version. I would love some commentary on this song, because I would like to get other's ideas on what the song is about. I love the imagery of a young woman gathering roses, and her 'making' her death bed; but I'm confused by the chorus which describes her with such resilient similes-a river that never runs dry, for instance. So...what do other people think? In any case it's beautiful. |

| Floetry – Getting Late Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| It's about various situations where things are getting hotter than they should be either cuz a) ure "just friends" and tryin to keep it there or b) u can't move into somethin cuz ure afraid of being burned again... it's getting late could mean a friend needs to go cuz its like 11pm and the question lingers "should i stay or should i go." Or it can mean, the relationship/friendship is getting deep and u need to figure out...what ground ure trespassin on here. that's my take. i love them. i wish songmeanings would put on "Now You're Gone" my absolute FAVORITE Floetry song | |
