This song is deffinitly about drugs. The begining of it is obvious with all of that. Overdosing or drinking too much. Plus Gerard even said the song was about it. If you get a chance to read the Holiday 2006 issue of _Guitar World_ he says in it: "Sure. There are deffinitely songs that look at the days I was on drugs. 'The Sharpest Lives deals with drugs' I think it was easier to write about that on this record." But I love this song no matter what it's about really, just because of the sound. And I have to give Gerard credit for finally being able to write about his troubles in a progressive way. and yay for is 2nd year of alcohol free-ness! ^_^ |
