| I love this song, and I agree that though its been said that it was written concerning the civil rights movement, I think it can really mean a lot to many people in different ways. It's also a really easy song to learn (first song I learned on guitar) which makes it a lot of fun to play and sing. | |

| Yeh this song is definitely exactly how my ex and I both feel about our break up. We dated over two years and I broke it off for stupid reasons and now it just won't work but we're both miserable and lonely. He always told me we could make it work and I know we probably could but I didn't have the energy to try (stupid on my part). In the end I fell for someone else and he finally saw right through me and thats what eventually ended us for good. Pretty much every word in this song I can relate to. Ugh. | |

i love this song, although i listen to RJA at night a lot and during the minute of silence following 'your guardian angel' i fall asleep, then this song comes on, wakes me up, and usually scares the crap out of me.. anyway i can't really figure it out, i agree about the general confusion of life idea but theres some central idea here i think and its kind of vague.. i don't quite see it.. a biblical reference to Jericho is made in the begining, "and just when I'm giving in, as I try to scale these walls Jericho falls around me and I feel that I've strayed too long" i dont know whether this is significant or not, but a lot of their songs sound like they are Christian influenced.. the only thing I really know about Jericho is that it was seiged and its walls "fell".. I could be way off, but anyone have any ideas about that? |

I think the meaning has been pretty well decided on but I'd like to agree with whoever said it sounds like 'Only Hope'. I was thinking of a different version but yeh when I first heard it thats all I could think of... I wondered if anyone else noticed lol |
