I like the part where he mentions how dull it'll be when we're happy. I think people thrive on unhappiness...we are obviously fascinated with death, pain, misery...watch the news. How many altruistic stories do we see? Everything beautiful in life is sad... |

I think the ho part was her telling herself to take a chance. It's like when you insult yourself into doing something you're afraid of. Like during exams when you whisper "you're dumb...you totally know the answer" to yourself. |

Harajuku is actually a place located around the harajuku station in Shibuya (great shopping!). There are TONS of different styles like the Ganguru girls, lolita, Harajuku. They are so inspring, cute, creative. If you ever go there, you'd write a song about it afterwards. |

This song is amazing. I love the part about her disappearing like Houdini and how while she was gone there were xeroxs (Um...Fergie *cough*) Hot. |

| Gwen Stefani – Wind It Up Lyrics

It's definitely a song you have to listen to a few times to understand and enjoy. I didn't like it at the beginning, just like I disliked her "Whatchya waiting for" song (and then I saw the amazing video!). But, the music is very disturbing in the background, kind of reminds me of a clock. The wind it up has to have a deeper meaning, as sex is always sort of an added bonus to Gwen's music. She is a deep person, a real artist. Wind it up could be a reference to how men can control women by winding them up with their 'key', but in reality women are controlling the men through their submission. What I'd like to know is what they mean at the beginning by "This is the Key that makes us wind up"...maybe a reference to life. Something is making us tick and we may not control it as much as we'd like. Anyway, the music is quite interesting, makes me sit on the edge of my chair. Reminds me of distortion. |

I love this song, very creative. I didn't like it at first, until I really listened to the lyrics and the beat. I think it is about being a little older and having to face the judgemental world...she probably felt like old news and was likely going through some sort of crisis. Tick tock, tick tock...times running out. She's scsared of death and failure. |
