The first month i listened to this song i never understood any words at all so i just got my meaning from the music. i took this as coming down from either an Lsd trip or, from cocaine. I'v done cocaine 1ce. beleive that (im away forever) but it just always makes em want it, it reminds me of someone coming down and wihsing that they are still high or they wish they could talk to thier mother* again even if it is secretly. (*just an example) it reminds me of a slow but kind of releiving struggle. idk it's weird.

I think this song is about being in so much pain that you can't see clearly everything around you or whats really going on with other people. i love this song. it makes me want to stab myself in the heart because its so good, its too good for this world ( not emo) i had to write a page for english so i wrote about this and it turned out 6 pages. The first thing that pops out at me is the bass and then th drums i love how they play the same thing but it sounds so... idk perfect. Laynes voice is one of the best iv herd of him here, its so clear and soothing. i always assumed this was abut drugs, just the tone and lyrics. Its quite an amazing song.

What it meant to the artist has an impact on what it means to me or anyone but its still your own thing. There are maybe 15 songs that when i hear i think "wow that it the best song on this earth" Down in A Hole is NOT one of them, but it is an amazing song. This song IS probably the best song ever created. i dont want start to think about what it means to me because i dont know where to start. Its scary how meaningful and beautiful this is.
