Lamb of God – Descending Lyrics 19 years ago
dude. schoolbag. it's not about religion. Randy loves religious metaphors, and other than that, he's a viciously antireligious person. that and it says it's about alcoholism on their site.

Lamb of God – For Your Malice Lyrics 19 years ago
I was listening to this song for the first time, and all I could think was "hmm... hey, I know somebody like this!"

Lamb of God – Vigil Lyrics 19 years ago
While I think it's entirely possible this is a sacreligious song, if you pay attention to the rest of the album, it doesn't really make sense, and Lamb of God albums are usually very cohesive. I'm leaning towards the idea that Randy is saying that Bush and his administration are a disgrace to those who have truly sacrificed themselves for the ideals of this great country in the past, whereas the wars waged by the new administration are merely fueled by a thirst for glory and power (lines 17,18)

Lamb of God – Blood Of The Scribe Lyrics 19 years ago
Ah, everybody's thinking too politically and not ideologically enough. think CENSORSHIP! the clues are everywhere!

Combine that with a slightly less fervent search for anti-bush lyrics (i hate bush too, don't get me wrong), and you've got a song about the US government's manipulation of the media and individuals that works an awful lot like censorship.

Lamb of God – Now You've Got Something To Die For Lyrics 19 years ago
I think everybody here is totally correct about this song's meaning, concerning Republican foreign policy in Iraq. All the lyrics fit in perfectly with the the Bush administration's hipocrisy in the middle east.

But I think everyone's missing half of the song. LoG wrote a song about both the Bush administration, as well as extremist muslim terrorists, who all "have something to die for".
consider the following:
another name for terrorists: "freedom Fighters"
LoG lyrics: "Army of liberation", "bombs to set the people free"

Terrorists have power most of the time merely because of their ability to use force (much like the US)
LoG lyrics: "Gunpoint Indoctrination", "bombs to set the people free"

Both sides (US and terrorists) are fighting each other on the same grounds: freedom of their people.
LoG lyrics: "face of hipocrisy"

and all these lyrics can be applied to both sides of the conflict...
this is why I LOVE LAMB OF GOD.
