rice fo shiz is dead on, whoever put that 1 corinth verse down, props that was really cool how it matched up like that. I don;t think anyone should be questioning that it is a religious theme. |

Its about vampires. It Reminds me of 30 Days of Night more than traditional vampires though. Also, the title is wrong, It Should be Blue Morning. |

it shows josh's love for horror and it alludes to night of the living dead, dawn of the dead, day of the dead and land of the dead. but the more serious theme is that love transcends everything, even death. |

i officially love this song. the whole cd rocked my socks off. the only thing that takes away from the credibility of this band is the fact that the big record label scared the lyrics straight. but thats just bc theyre mainstream music and mainstream music isnt ready for lyrics about homosexual realationships. the only difference between this album and the others is they stopped trying to sneak it in. |

ok first of all this CD is the sequel to "I brought you my bullets, your brought me your love." that cd told the story of the previously mentioned, bonnie and clyde lovers. at the end of bullets, they are killed. 3 cheers is about the man going to hell and the woman going to heaven. he can return if he brings the devil the sould of 1000 evil men, but there is a catch. this song is about man #999 who is the man that killed him and his lover. he keeps saying that he has come back from the dead to kill him. of course at the end of bullets you discover that the catch is that the last evil man on earth was the main character himself and he commits suicide so that his lover will have another chance at life... |

i believe that this song is the conclusion to the story painted by the rest of the album. after all of "the lovers" fights against and flights from these vampires (listen to the rest of the cd (excluding early sunsets)) they accept their fate. he kills her, then kills himself, thus protecting them both from the corruption of the vampires. |

vampires trying to convince this girl to become a vampire... he's warning her not to because they just want her blood... she thinks it would be sexy to be a vampire, but he tried to convince her otherwise... her fate is fairly obvious because the song is written in the past tense |

very straightforward: vampires got to this person (girl?) that the narrator cared for. she was warned and she knew they were dangerous but she allowed herself to be killed. this sounds like it is being said to her grave |

i think its about a children's terminal illness ward...
"Call the parents on theirs cell phones"
You see, they need to get get here right now
The song is written in first person, so i believe that the narrator belongs to this ward and finds the boy in the next bed is dead...
his warning to "look under the bed" implies that the ward reeks of death and that death is hiding everywhere. and despite their efforts to "disguise the smell" all of the patients are very aware of its presence.
at the end of the song the narrator affirms that he will not die like the rest of the children allthough we all know that he will. |

i agree with unreleased explaination of the lyrics... if u read the song through with them in mind, then it makes sense... i dont agree with anything else he said though... finch got rid of their mildly annoying sound from before... i didnt like finch until i heard this album, now i like everything they did. |

| Showbread – Age of Reptiles Lyrics

this song is an amazing conclusion to an amazing album. it is most definitely a conclusion to a story that was told over the whole album. the basic idea was that there was a horrible rein of tyranous reptiles that destroyed everything. they were amoral and had no respect for the world that God made them. this song is the end of the world. when "the age will pass away" it means that the rein of reptiles (now known to be a metaphor for humans) is over and begets the age of insects (beginning with "i walk the world...(it is a hidden track, showbread said so themselves)) it talks about the moment before jesus returns to heaven with all the righteous and allows earth to become hell. how the character (the point of view of this song) is hiding from jesus because he is ashamed of his sin. jesus finds him anyway and the scales fall out of his eyes. ( a reference to the bible passage where a man was blinded by God by having scales put over his eyes. when he repented for his evil works the scales fell out of his eyes and he saw the truth this man went on to follow jesus. |
