I'm not religious but it does seem to have a little religious POV of "God" cuz they say "Are we Are we just selfish For wanting to keep you Where we are Just where you left us You're seeing all the things I'd die to see (all the things I'd die to see)" "you" would also mean "God" and He left us here. "Can you see Evidence of perfection Look past the circumstance And find some meaning Find some meaning" He's perfect...sooo yeah go figure OR.... uhh idk i can't think of any kind of interpretation. its hard to interpret in any other way outside of the religious aspect but it seems to fit perfectly. |

This song could also mean: Someone trying to fix themself for someone they love or currently in relationship with. "And the tears come streaming down your face When you lose something you can't replace When you love someone but it goes to waste" -something and someone could mean a special someone "When high up above or down below" ups and downs between 2 people "When you're too in love to let it go" self-explanatory "But if you never try you'll never know Just what you're worth" if you let go, you can see what you are worth "Tears stream down your face When you lose something you cannot replace Tears stream down your face And I..." -Well DUH if you lose that special someone, its hard to replace that special someone "Tears stream down your face I promise you I will learn from my mistakes Tears stream down your face" -its like saying "i'll learn from my mistakes and change myself to be better for you" "Lights will guide you home And ignite your bones And I will try to fix you" - "Lights" could mean "Love" "I" in the POV of the special someone and "you" as the person needed to be "fixed" or changed for the better it may sound complicated and i know i dont want to make this all personal [even though songs are meant for personal memories] but i sent my boyfriend this song because he's been having problems being the way he is and i feel that he needs to be "fixed". and i'm the one that he might lose and cannot replace. he's really saying he's trying but he isn't suceeding and i am...trying to help him change that's my opinion... and little story :P |
