what's all this about masturbation? uhm ok then, I guess everyone's entitled to think what they want! but I adore this song and have always seen it as simply a lovely long song. "Nobody lingers like your hands on my heart Nobody figures like you figured me out" It always reminds me of a guy I was once with who just seemed to know me so well, he seemed to get under my skin without even trying. "The way I feel when you’re close to me Finally not drifting out to sea" and how I felt so safe and secure with him, like nothing else in my world mattered, like finally life was going my way. the "i was lost but now i'm found" kinda idea. anyway, that's my personal take on the song and it will always remind me of that particular guy and the hold he had on me *sigh*. |

| wow I can't believe there's no comments on this, I think it's my favourite sheryl crow song. But i guess describing the meaning behind it is pretty hard. i guess like all good songs it's about love, it seems to be about how she fights for a relationship to work, is desperate for that someone to be there for her. but in the end perhaps ends up pushing him away? anyways, I love this song, and sometimes it's better not to read to much into these things, just enjoy it. | |
