| Stevie Wonder – Superstition Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
It isn't about drugs or religion. The song is about how being superstitious in life isn't worth it. "When you believe in things that you don't understand Then you suffer" If you don't believe in superstition then you won't suffer... as in avoiding an experience or adventure because a superstition says not to. "Keep me in a daydream, keep me goin' strong You don't wanna save me, sad is my song" If you believe in superstition, it will cross your mind when you encounter something considered superstitious. Superstition is sad, never happy. I could be totally off and ASigIAm213 had it right all along. Remember, superstition ain't the way... :-) |

| Chuck Berry – Memphis, Tennessee Lyrics | 19 years ago |

It is about his daughter. This line indicates it: And tore apart our happy home in Memphis Tennessee I assume there was a breakup and she got the daughter. |

I agree with JuggyFWB. The weapon of choice to me was refining your individual thought. |

| The Jimi Hendrix Experience – Mannish Boy Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I thought the lyric was I’ll make love to you....always time. Instead of all this time. | |
| The Jimi Hendrix Experience – Straight Ahead Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
Have you heard baby verse could mean that the word on the street; there is a vibe(hippy movement) going on. The get out of your grave verse could be. The grave is full time work or a drudgery-laden occupation. Everybody is dancing line could mean people are happy they were shown the vibe. Do what you know line is to just drop what you do now and pursue what you love. I'd say the lyric is fake reality. That line could mean instead of living in the artificial reality of working, weekends off, paying bills, etc. etc., he is saying to free one's self from that social construct. I could ramble but that's the gist of the tune to me. :-D |
