okay I'm not done....I wanted to get more into this part: "My girl's got a big mouth With which she blabbers a lot She laughs at most everything Whether it's funny or not And if you see her Tell her it's over now" I was wrong...this girl doesn't talk to EVERYONE. tHIS IS Talking about how she screws EVERYONE. tHAT's right.... I think this is Weezers (River) very politically correct and ambiguous way of saying so...let's analyze: "My girl's got a big mouth With which she blabbers a lot" Talking about a mouth...hmmm a BIG one???? Which she blabbers alot...doesn't take much to know what is be talking about...for tha kids this is simply talkin about how she likes goin down on everyone....yeah that's right she has a BIG mouth...lol "She laughs at most everything Whether it's funny or not" This is basically saying she'll do anything with a heartbeat...haha ..I need to find me one like that!!! lol "And if you see her Tell her it's over now" I've explained this one already but the thing I want to point out is the "And if you see her" part. This actually ties in with the last verse of "please don't believe her ...etc. etc." YOU SEE he's been talkin to the same guy (his gf's new lover) the whole time...lol In the begining of the song he's saying yeah I know she's a whore so next time you see her tell her it's over and at the very end he's just warning if it happened to me it's goin' to happen to you. There I'm done...sorry for the spelling and grammer but I hope you now see this song differently now. |

HA.... I'm not sure everyone understands this song and how ambiguous it is. I think too many have focused on the one-liners and not the song as a whole. let me break it down so and hopefully you will see what I see: "My girl's got a big mouth With which she blabbers a lot She laughs at most everything Whether it's funny or not And if you see her Tell her it's over now" ---his girl talks to EVERYONE...i'M thinking mostly other guys and tries to become friendly with all of em...maybe too friendly .....why else would he say "Tell her it's over now"....I"m thinking the girl gets around so he wants to break up. "I want a girl who will laugh for no one else When I'm away she puts her makeup on the shelf When I'm away she never leaves the house I want a girl who laughs for no one else" ---This is dude talking about the type of girl he wants...not literally though he's over-exaggerates what he wants...The line: "When I'm away she puts her makeup on the shelf When I'm away she never leaves the house" is talking about the complete opposite of what his current gf is...I mean when he's away she's always made up in makeup (lookin for something...or someman and she always is gone from tha house when he's not around..I wonder why...lol) "My girl's got eyeballs In the back of her head She looks around and around You know it makes me sad to see her like that" ---basically she's always on the prowl....looking for her next catch....who would like it if there gf was checking out other guys???? Wouldn't you be sad??? :( "Please don't believe her She says that for anyone And if you watch her go... Watch her, watch her, watch her, would ya?" ---Don't believe her cause she's a lying bi atch!!!! I think he's trying to warn the 'next guy' of what she really is.....a whore!!! |

I think that the people speculating on the number thing are overlooking the main point of the song and missing it completely (then again it's interesting to hear how they tie in all the songs together). First off, this songs theme is about the destruction of our planet. In the begining it describes the pollution of the oceans/waters/whatever. The phrase "This monkeys gone to heaven" shouldn't be taken literally; I think it's more of a state of mind more than anything. Possibly a dilusion of some sort that even though we think that we are living an ideal/perfect existence we tend to miss/overlook all the bad...we create pollution to make our lives easy (ie nuclear energy for electricity though overlook nuclear waste). Simply put "ignorance is bliss". The next part of the song describes "creatures in the sky" getting sucked into a hole. I thinks this describes birds getting tar from an oil spill; as they look down the oil resembles a hole by it's color. Next is the hole in tha sky which describes the holes in our ozone... and no ozone things heat up and the "grounds not cold".....global warming. Finally comes the numbers verse. I don't know where this comes from though when I hear it it sounds like this: If man is fine (3x) Then the devil is sic (5x) then gone is heaven (3x) I don't know if Frank intended it to sound like this though I know he used words and phrases that sounded interesting. Maybe I'm hearing something that's not there and just coincidence though when I hear this part of the song that's what I tend to hear. As a final note I think this song is genious; to describe something so complex with so little. |
