Arctic Monkeys – The View from the Afternoon Lyrics 18 years ago
catabilar:

In Wikipedias words:

"Writer's block is a phenomenon involving temporary loss of ability to continue writing, usually due to lack of inspiration or creativity."

The lines clearly refers to that the person doesn't dare can't formulate what he's wanting to say until he's gotten drunk enough.

The Knife – One Hit Lyrics 19 years ago
I'm from Sweden, but I don't really know any abuse in particular that would fit the lyrics. Maybe it would be possible to look further if I knew when the song was written.

The newspapers in Sweden has a habit to fill their frontpages with news of murders, rapes and violence, so maybe it's just focusing on abuses in the news as a whole?

Phoenix – One Time Too Many Lyrics 19 years ago
I start to believe that Phoenix's song doesn't have any meaning. None of the lyrics make sense!

The Rifles – Narrow Minded Social Club Lyrics 19 years ago
This song is clearly about the unjustified violence on the streets. The friend and the boy in the news were both assaulted for no reason while walking to their homes, and the singer is obviously afraid of having to keep his kids indoors just because of the fact that maniacs roam all the streets.

I believe Crunchie nailed the meaning of this song.

Milburn – Send In The Boys Lyrics 19 years ago
The song is obviously about some sort of kidnapping.

Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly – Whitewash Is Brainwash Lyrics 19 years ago
I like the way Sam Duckworth is clear with what he wants to say with his songs, not hiding it in riddles like many other songwriters do.
