Seems to me she's talking about her love for a man, a man who also finds more power in love than in spectacle or religion. "The other absentee," and "my absentee," for example. Also, the idea of being saved is supposed to be giving yourself up to God, or Jesus or whatever. I think she's saying why not spend the grace we have here, which she seems to be doing with whoever this man is. |
