| Thom Yorke – Iluvya Lyrics

This theory is a real longshot but consider it:
I know Thom Yorke is way into alot of "IDM"- stuff like Aphex Twin and Autechre- so when I first heard this I thought maybe this was his tribute to the genre and its artists, and the line "I luv ya" is like him saying how much he loves those musicians.
Again, very unlikely but an interesting thought that came to mind. |

Honestly, like alot of the stuff on kid a, this song is just another portriat of madness- a halluciantion of reality experienced friequently in the minds of radiohead communicated into song. It sounds cynical, even insulting to the band...but thats the feeling i personally get from alot of radiohead's music. |

| David Gilmour – A Pocketful Of Stones Lyrics

The album seems to be abut some sort of relationship, I think this song is about spending too much time in a fantasy world, trying to avoid reality- a 'pocketful of stones' represents the earth he 's ignoring but carried with him. |

It certainly does make one think of the rising ocean, from which there is no escape. This also corresponds to the album artwork. |

The stuff about Kelly seems to make sense- but every time I listen to it I think of a relationship that failed, and his frustration with it, and how he'sliving out memories. Just my feeling of it. |

| Radiohead – There There. (The Boney King of Nowhere.) Lyrics

This song is downright horrifying. The lyrics are paranoid and hopeless, the world is dangerous and false, out to get you. The guitar gives you a false sense of comfort, then suddenly shreiking with distortion on the higher notes. I think its about trying to enter the mind of another person, trying your hardest to see the reality, only to find a trap, an elaborate game. |

| Radiohead – Pulk/Pull Revolving Doors Lyrics

The lyrics involving doors appear in "In Limbo" as well- which has a similar feel to this song. I think that the writer of the lyrics (Thom Yorke I assume) suffered some sort of trauma, maybe from drugs, maybe simply from isolation and depression, which makes him feel seperate from others, alone, and very confused by the world he once knew so well. Note also how these songs appear on the albums where Radiohead began using more electronic and experimental tecniques in the songwriting. |

| Radiohead – In Limbo Lyrics

I love this song so much, but honestly the lyrics are too vague to really be interpreted specifically. Its just about being lost, the whole song has a confused and floaty quality, and has the lyric involving a 'trap door' which also appears in 'Pulk/Pull Revolving Doors'- which has a similar sound- very floaty and fast paced and not much clear division between the verses and chorus. My guess is that they are speaking of some alternate state of mind- perhaps drugs, perhaps depression, who knows- which is accessed by the writer of the lyrics consistently, and causes them much discomfort, but apparently inspiration. |

I think its about how people hold themselves back and the burden they put on others by behaving that way. |
