This is a song about a sick fussy baby. It won't stop crying (why is it so loud, this sound) so the mom tries to shove her breast into it's mouth to get it to shut the hell up but that doesn't work (mother's breast won't warm you). Perhaps she has problems lactating in which case she must be out of formula. She could be out of formula because she is a heroin addict like you see on that tv show interventions. She spends all her money on drugs so the baby is sick and hungry. The child does try heed the glance of the mother's smile but the noise persists. The songs switches narrators as other of annekes lyrics have done before. The child is fighting sleep while lying in it's mother's arms. The mother gets frustrated and drops the baby and that is why she asks if it was impossible to float for a while. ok I don"t really believe the last thing nor do I believe in a supreme being.
