Alright I think the meaning of this song is pretty clear. Look at the name of the song, Miss Louisiana. The band is from Texas. So, there was a girl in Louisiana (the "heaven" he refers to) and "twice on the highway" means he drove to see her on their anniversary and is on his way back. But things between them had been growing distant and their relationship is fading. He sees it ending, and knows it can't go back to what it was. "I have to keep on moving/Or I get lost in all I'm losing" makes perfect sense. If he doesn't keep moving he'll get super depressed. So now he just needs closure, a definitive end, so that he can move on. Just to paraphrase. |
