| The guy singing the song has waited for a particular woman for a long time. He finally meets her once but then some sleazy asshole comes along and treats her like shit and, of course, she goes home with him instead. The guy is heartbroken because he had a plan for his life, and she was the one to fit into it. So now he has no faith in anyone and just wants to forget this particular lady. It's a little confusing, but I think that's the jist of it. | |
