I love that line too, socalgt =) Pretty self-explanatory, though I thought this song would get more feedback; I see the title as much as I see 'Hide and Seek'
I confess I started out with Frou Frou first, and when I head Immi had just made a new album, I made the mistake of thinking this was on it and was quite... surprised how different she sounded. But now I know this was before frou-frou ^^; Took some time getting use to it, but I like it now. |

I agree with quite a few people here, I believe the singer and the person in question has broken up and the has singer called them up to confess she still has feelings (hence "Just hear me out..."). However, they're not picking up for whatever reason, so she's talking to the answering machine (Im join the queue on your answerphone/and all I am is holding breath/Just pick up, I know you're there...). |

A song can be pretty straightforward if you've seen the video, but I believe the song can also stand alone and even half a completely different take than what's shown in the video -but in this case I think it's straightforward either way and agree with others saying the basic meaning is that even in 30 minutes your life can change |

I agree with luna, singer's in love with someone who's already in love with someone.
Whenever I listen to this song I get this scenario in my head that she's at a wedding. Sometimes it's her attending the person's wedding and the song is her talking to her conscience, while putting up a front in front of the happy couple. |

Beautiful song, one of my favorites from her =]...
It does sound like she may be depressed, but it also sounds like it's not bothering her too much. I mean to me it sounds like she's just woken up kind of hazy and not sure how she got to this place, but it's not bothering her because its a safe enough place for her to lose herself and not think of her current situation (hence the "oh well" part). Kind of like billy collins poem "saturday morning" |

My favorite parts of this song are the Do you know..." and the slow version of the chorus after the screams ;) It kind of sounds Halloweenish, but that's probably not the case.
I was listening to this once when reading the Noble Dead series and I think it would fit for a Vampire/Vampire hunter kind of setting too. |

I'm still trying to figure this out with a "relationship" theme, but I think it does kind of sound like when a person is on their last nerve with someone, and they're calling them out to confront them once and for all ^.~ |

Pretty straightforward, and I love this song ^^ Music almost sounds like a kind drug here, that they can lose themselves in when times get hard. |

I don't think it has to be specifically about the narrator and the other person being in a relationship.
I've always interpreted as the Narrator's trying to comfort and put some spirit back into the person, who waves it off, saying it's too late, they're still hung over their previous partner. Now the narrator /could/ be in love with that person, but I don't think it's specific enough to be able to determine that :p |

I'm pretty much agree with captaininsano, I think that they're friends and she's fallen in love with him and is hung up about it.
Also agree with YeahOK on the first stanza. But with the "Follow you home.." part, although YeahOK's makes sense, I've always pictured that because they're friends she doesnt have to stalk - she's with him when he's doing all those things. He just doesn't realize she's watching in /that/ way, so he's comfortable changing in front of her and such.
Either way, this song really hit close to home for me =] |
