A great deep-cut track. The production suggests a daydreaming mood and the lyrics take it to a higher level. As is often the case with Journey, the last line jumps out of the song and moves the listener to the crux of the matter. |

Possibly the best Journet track. The vocals and the guitar are perfect to fit the mood of a strained love. The question in the title speaks of the reality of a long-term relationship. Someone is usually found to be crying. This is the price of commitment, but as the song suggests, it is worth it in the end. |

I believe Steve Perry said that this song was a plea for a friend to get out of the big city drug scene. Most likely LA or SF. |

The message is: stay because you'll regret leaving. The girl may think that the grass is greener in another pasture, but she will discover that she is giving up something of value merely because of a few small problems. The key line is "after stormy weather, does the sun shine everyday"? Well put. |

The song is a simple but eloquent expression of the sense of confusion and loss after a break-up. I don't think Randy Jackson was on this track. This song is on Frontiers and Jackson played on the Raised on Radio LP. Bass would have been played by Ross Valory. |
