I HATE SEEING THESE LYRICS WRONG ON HERE. No offense, but you have to change it. And I wouldnt raise my child inside the city anyway They grow up too SAVVY and they grow up too fast And they know about buying shit and they know about sex And they know about investment banking and also about brokerage FIRMS And the know about the numbers and they know about the words And they know about the bottom lines and also about stones And they know about careers and about the real deals AND THEY ALL grow up and become PEOPLES PEOPLE WITH PEOPLE SKILLS the stuff in caps is how it should be. |

So last night, an old boyfriend that is now a very close friend read my mind when we were discussing our one week relationship that took place 6 months ago. He was going through girlfriends, and told me not to tell his girlfriend now (which is my good friend) that he thought that we could have worked. This song came on just then. I don't think it's as much as shes talking about someone she is totally in love with, but someone she rejected (*I don't kniow where does it go*) and someone that every once in a while questions why it ended and misses it. |
