okay theres a reason why it says 5 boys, no the 5th memebr isnt chris like many ppl think. this song was on their first cd, "fall out boy's night out with your girlfriend" when they made that cd, Andy want even in the band, and they had 2 other guys instead, but after that cd i think the two others quit so thats where andy came in. thats why on the cover of that cd (fall out boys evening..." there is patrick, pete, joe and two other guys, and andy not in it just wanted to cear that up for you guys |

ok here's what i think this is about they're second cd and if its gonna be loved or just hated. then the 2nd line could be about other bands and how they talk about them selves saying they're just what you need and stuff.and no matter what they say.. could mean well if the criticks dont like us dont believe them. and the ''i'll keep singing this lie if you'll keep believeing it" is many bands will keep saying that stuff about themselves if you keep believing me. the next paragraph could be like what the band thinks about the band."we're the kids you used to love but then we grew old" is like their music but then all of the sudden ppl just get tired of them and move on to a new band. or it could mean their "take this to your grave " cd was rele good but their afraid when the from under the cork tree comes out(which it has) ppl wont like it as much. but their saying we're still the same. or yet another interpretation is theirstill the same kids you grew up w/ but then they got famous .and they are still the same. "the best part of believe..." back to what bands say about themselves to get you to listen to them . thier saying "i hope you sing along.." is still all the lies bands say and they want them to just get hooked on these songs that are just made up and have no meaning idk thats just what i think |

ya i agree w/ you'll be a memory i think this song has to do w/ him overdosing & his depression., just like their other song 7 minutes in heaven. "And the record won't stop skipping And the lies just won't stop slipping And besides my reputation's on the line We can fake it for the airwaves Force our smiles, baby, half dead From comparing myself to everyone else around me" i think he's talking about how he had to hide his overdosing and he's saying they can fake it for their fans, and just pretend everything is ok. but they might think that something is wrong in the end. and he is also saying how he wants to stop cuz he has his reputation and the band.but he just cant just stop. "And I want to be known for my hits, not just my misses" i think he's saying he wants to be known for his sucsess w/ fall out boy and all that other stuff hes done good w/. and he doesnt want ppl to think of him as just a famous person who overdosed. well this is what i think and im pretty sure it close |

| ok ya we know all know that this song is about pete's overdose. if you dont believe it still what about this line "im having another episode i just need another dose". if this song had been about the boy girl stuff then you would of thought that was a metaphore, but it rele is the other way around. that is rele one of mayb a couple lines that if you know what the song rele is about you dont have to try and figure out what it means. and have you guys heard about their new cd coming out after they go on tour again? | |
