I actually heard this song on Kyle XY. I think it's about how no matter how bad things can get, how different people can become, some things still stay the same, and you can make it out alright. I also think that it's about material things not being important, and that you can get along without them "When everything you have goes away/You realize that nothing means a thing" |

this song is just so... sad. but powerful, too. i totally agree with you neongreen44, but i think it ties in a lot with 'the Patient' and how he is diagnosed with cancer and even though the girl he loves "will never marry" him, it's so hard for him to leave her (in death) and "cause im awful just to see/cause all my hairs abandoned all my body" is just so.. depressing because he's ashamed of the girl seeing him so defenseless and sick. this song is really touching, especially to people who have or have had family members lost to cancer... anyway, that's my interpretation. |
