Another great from Garth. I got into an argument with my mom once & told her i wished she was dead. A few weeks later she got in a horrible car wreck. The first thing I thought when my sister told me was "then i don't give a damn if you never come back from cheyenne" & i (understandably i hope) freaked out. Great song. (oh! and she was banged up pretty bad, but alright in the end)

First i can't believe only one person has posted about this song! It's fricking beautiful! It reminds me of my life in general. I've become quite the jaded individual over the years & happy chipper clueless people are what i think of when i think 'ship of fools'.. contempt & pity sort of "sail away from me" (pleeeaaase!!) and the moment of realization that you almost bought into it and now your goal is to sink that ship to possibly put the idiots out of their misery.. or perhaps sink the ship and let the fools off for enlightenment ;)

This is another of the songs that reminds me of my old crew. Hot boys & hot girls who only hung out with each other for real & went to bars together to pick up outsiders. The motto was" what we lack in morals, we make up for in standards"... that's what this always makes me think of. we were all lonely & sad and hiding it behind drunken nights and one night stands. i used to sit back and watch and sing this in my head. because inevitably whoever got taken home the night before (if not part of the crew) was long gone -read: kicked out- the next morning and we'd all snuggle up with each other and nobody talked about the elephant in the room. that we weren't proud of our behavior. that we weren't really happy. we were just trying to kill our pain with pleasure that just so happened to involve more pain. we didn't know how to make it stop. but yeah, that was years ago & some of them still haven't. this song breaks my heart and i love it dearly.

This is one of my favorites by BJ.. probably because it was one of the unspoken themesongs of my group at one point. If it is about bianca jagger i'm sure she was happy for everyone to know she was a coke user! haha (spoon up your nose).. yeah, it's a pretty simple song, but when you have that moment one morning, y'know when you don't remember all of what you did & cringe over the things you do remember, this will come to mind :)

OMG Can anyone say jaded & masked?! I loved this song from the first time I heard it. It spoke to the repetitive fuck up in me. "And your white bread friends In the circus life" is so sarcastic and possibly a bit envious. whitebread friends. sweet beginners. normal non fuck ups. the kind you *can* take anywhere. the kind who aren't lying on the floor freaking out and pretending they aren't. It's almost resentment... like fuck you goody two shoes types, i don't need ya! I'm off having bad trips, shaking my ass and being decadent ("the way i sin is hanging off of me"!? c'mon!! yeah, i love MB20 & this song rocks.
