This band is awesome. Their lyrics are so cartoonishly graphic and horrific I think it's funny. I don't know I guess I just don't take it seriously; and me, having a darker sense of humor, I just can't help but laugh when I hear someone singing a song about being 'Mummified in Barbed Wire' and cumming blood. It's just funny. I have heard many death metal bands that I think are much better because their lyrics are a bit more poetic (in a twisted sense, if you understand my meaning) than Cannibal Corpse, since theirs are much more literal, as in there is no hidden meaning behind the words, it is just quite literal. What you see is what you get, pretty much. |

LMFAO I love this band their lyrics are so cartoonishly horrific it makes me laugh. Perfect death metal, the instrumentals are fine, but it's the hilariously twisted lyrics that take them to the level they are at now. I agree that anyone who actually takes these seriously is pretty messed up, but even Corpsegrinder himself has said that they just write the lyrics, they don't carry them out in reality. So I wish everyone would stop taking them so seriously. There is better death metal out there anyways. |
