she has a good voice..but not for this song. it doesnt show the passion that jeff buckley showed when he sang it (his version, granted, was a cover, but he sang it so passionately and awesomely). her version absolutely murdered the song. i guess its not her fault as she only did what they told her. but even so, it doesnt stop this version from being...under par. especially compared to jeff's. although i dont think either version of the x-factor finalists deserved number 1...i actually preferred JLS's version more. although one good thing came of all of this...Jeff himself got to number 2 which in turn will give it more air time etc and people will hear this master piece how it should be heard and for what it truely is. her version couldve been worse tho. |
