| Arcade Fire – Black Wave/Bad Vibrations Lyrics | 18 years ago |

"been eating in the ghetto of a hundred dollar plate" The hundred dollar plate is borrowed (I think, its too coincidental) from Bob Dylan's "It's alright ma(I'm only Bleeding)". I think the Arcade fire are kind of similar to Dylan, what they sing about isn't necessarily anything in particular, but just the lyrics and lines are just poetic in themselves, or they sing about the natural misery of life. And I guess you can interpret them how you like. But I guess the 'eating in the ghetto on a hundred dollar plate' is basically saying or asking, what is the point off having a hundred dollar plate, or useless material possession, when surrounded by poverty. Or even it could be statement about the disparity of wealth the whole world through. |

| Babyshambles – French Dog Blues Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This is a nice song and everything, one of the better ones on Shotter's nation. But does anyone think that the melody - infact the best melody in the whole song which is the verse - is just stolen from Cheated hearts by the yeah yeah yeahs?? | |
| The Libertines – Arbeit Macht Frei Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I just saw Children of Men and I recognised the riff of Arbeit Macht Frei during the immigrant camp segment, but I was certain the lyrics were different?? And maybe not even a libertines version at all. I tried my hardest to make it out but failed.. | |
