This song is clever. Its a catchy sing-a-long tune with a sad meaning to it. Its in the kid's perspective; pretending to be content through the catchy tune...if you think about it in that way.

To me it sounds like suspicion that his partner is cheating on him. Thats what it sounds like. Read the lyrics...he obviously feels he is cheated on and she lies constantly.
