omg, i never looked properly at these lyrics before. they're mad, but i guess the video makes more sense now. i just love the video, the way incubus are dressed as little jungle mad men and you find out they actually live on a traffic island. doesnt that say it all. god i love incubus! its fair enough to think about the meaning of this song and i'm sure u could attempt to make one up that fits ... but i think maybe incubus were just young and going a bit crazy and just wrote down a load of random shit, put it with some ace music and hey presto another fucking amazing song. you can find the video on youtube or on their dvd, called "Volume 2"- i reccomend it, its so funny. plus u get to see brandon in tiny tiny jungle pants ! lol common who wouldn't want that! xxxx |

11 am is my favourite incubus song... its so well written and i love the way that everyone thinks it has different meanings- part of everyone can relate to it. am i right? i actually cant think of a better image than brandon boyd lying in bed, hoplessly wanting you to ring him.... i wouldn't keep him waiting :) lol but aside from him being hot, he's also an amazing song writer. i agree with so many people on this page about the poetic lyrics- its just a really beautiful song... oh and thankgod they're touring this year... i've waited too long. amazing is such an understatement xxxx |

i found out that Dougie wrote this song, which then meant i had to find out more because i love him :) this is what i heard the song meant. its set in like medival or tudor times. its about a queen or princess (Anne Boleyn was one of Henry 8th's wives). and she's in love with a servant or peasant guy- and plans to run away with him. the lyrics "rip him out in history" are the royal court talking about getting rid of this servant peasant guy because he's not high enough class for Ann Boleyn. however he's really happy so sings out loud about his love for her ( "everybody having fun to the sound of love") its basically how the high class of the time disagree with their relationship. i think its a really unusual mcfly song, but i really like it. especially the end bit with "who is your lover.. " dougie did a good job writing it :) hope this has helped anyone who didnt know wot it meant. xxx |
