I have to completely disagree with you bubbletea. I don't think it means "Second Life" as in the virtual game. I believe its referring to a "second life"-- celebrity and the one you really live. Maybe not even that, but most definitely with a lower case not the game. Sorry to burst your bubble -- no pun intended I swear. Going along with the life of celebrity, avatar is referring to an image one portrays, not necessarily one created on computers, etc. But a false persona put on, kind of like the whole "hiding behind the mask" cliche. |

| Barenaked Ladies – I Can I Will I Do Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Even though this song is about a romantic relationship, it really sums up a falling out (or growing apart i guess) I had with my friend. It boiled down to her thinking I didn't care about her, but I did and I still do. But I can't keep trying when it won't change how she feels. This is why I love this band. |

| The Frames – True Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
here's the lyrics from the end: We had it down in the end to You know I hate it this way You keep on pushing on me They say it's never too late I'm afraid it is now for me When every word that you say I can't know how I can believe And now you've pushed me away Till I was way beyond me I know I'll be lonely without you But there's no fight left in me I'm breaking down all the walls You slowly built around me Why do you ask for my trust? When you're not worthy of it? I find it hard to adjust To the lines you're drawing for me. |

| The Decemberists – The Gymnast, High Above the Ground Lyrics | 19 years ago |

To me, it's a song about death. I know that seems simple. But that's what it comes down to for me, each verse ends in the same way in my brain. And the "April marches on..." is both sad and encouraging at the same time. Like, time moves on without them but in the end life will move on. This is the song I want played at my funeral. It just..fits. |
