Wrong lyrics: The first words should be "Been away...", not "Anyway..."
Also, I think "since you've lost your feel..." should be "seems you've lost your feel...".
My interpretation is straight forward and literal: a remarkable song about an unremarkable breakup. No drama, they just disagreed. |

"Is it still light outside?"
This last line, which is presumably central to the theme of the song, makes me think of the never ending daylight during parts of the year in Scandinavia, the group's home. I believe I've heard of that environment causing increased incidence of depression, though I thought it was more related to the times of never ending night rather than day. Regardless, dealing with that situation through drug use could certainly cause the senario in the first verse.

I was about to make note of what an 80's electro-pop sound got this album started, but then I looked into it I realized that that was the point =P. Sonic Diary [2006] is a collection of covers, mostly from music's most embarrassing yet most fondly remembered decade. Cambodia is one of my favorites, but the whole disk is great. |
