I know this song is about a homosexual rejecting a heterosexual because mike furey wrote it about a girl friend of his who had feelings for him...but he didn't feel the same way...also, watch the video...the whole thing is about heterosexuals hitting on homosexuals who then get rejected by heterosexuals |

The song is about a homosexual man turning down the sexual advances of his heterosexual girl friend. He admits that he wants to have sexual feelings for her, but he can't becuase he is only attracted to men. She also expresses anger towards him when he tells her, claiming that he led her on. He obviously feels bad about the situation, imploring her at the end to forget about her love for him and to just dance. The part where he tells her to dance could also be an expression of the kind of relationship he wants to have with her. He wants to be able to take her out and have fun without the pressure of taking her home at the end of the night or loving her. |
