On Every Day Every Night, the album cover has 2 skeletons on it. One says "Why do you lay so low in the grass?" and the other one says "Don't you want to be found?" |

Even though the song ends sad. I love this line "In a forest of designer clothes, you touch me and smile" I can just imagine two people there. Designer clothes represent perfection and materialistic things. When the girl touches him and smiles it's like saying "I don't need absolute 'perfection', I want you." Well that's just how I interpreted it. Adorable |

At the end, did any one hear what the talking is about? I think there's something like "It's gonna look like a mistake, it's not gonna look like we did it on purpose. you didnt _____ the part of the beat." "that's ok." "no it isn't" "It's artistic" "no it isn't" ::mocking the screaming:: "Well great then, turn it around and turn it again." :;laughing:: It's sort of like an argument. I always wondered if it was staged though. |

This is sorta off topic but Conor always mentions Justin in his songs but not his other brother. Does any one know why? |

I think it's about someone who just keeps everything inside and other people are starting to notice their sadness. The song is encouraging the person to try to relate to people and tell every one how they feel. It's amazing how somehow, everyone can relate to Bright Eyes. I always wonder who the songs are adressed to. A friend, a girl, himself? Maybe just for anyone. Everyday and Everynight is in my opinion the best of all Bright Eyes. |

I think it's about how some things aren't important. In An Attempt To Tip The Scales, the radio announcer is portrayed as someone dumb. People should be doing more important things like saving lives. idk thats just what I thought |

Joe and Conor always sound best together. It's the best pair of voices. For some reason my favorite part is "Break it up, misunderstand me." and of course the harmonizing. Is Violet the girl's name? |

This song sorta scares me. The part when it says "Come here, Daddy." lol and the screaming/ moaning noises. If anyone else did this it would be crazy but I'll listen to anything from Conor and Tim |

I love this song. Conor sounds so cute. Celladore, you can get an uneventful vacation of amazon. I haven't be able to get do you feel at home though. :( Idk they might have it too. Has any one heard conor's demo cd, water? It was when he was like 12. so adorable. but he could always play guitar really good. |

I love how you can hear his emotion when he sings "The gold medal gleams So hang it around my neck Because I am deserving it The champion of idiots."
Someone said that there's a funny pic for this song in the cd booklet. is that in Don't be frightened or Oh Holy Fools? |

| Bright Eyes – Oh, You Are the Roots That Sleep Beneath My Feet and Hold the Earth in Place Lyrics

I sing and drink and sleep on floors
And try hard not to be annoyed
By all these people worrying about me
So when I'm suffering through some awful drive
You occasionally cross my mind
It's my hidden hope that you are still among them
Well, are you?
I love this part. But what does he mean when he says are you still among them.
I thought this was about Neely Jenkins too. as well as You Will. How about I will be greatful for this day? |

| Bright Eyes – Saturday as Usual Lyrics

Most likely he wrote it between 1995-1997 since it says A Collection of Songs Written and Recorded. But he still could have been 14 if it was early 95, which is amazing. The music and voice on this cd aren't as good as some newer bright eyes, but the lyrics are some of my favorite. "I can't seem to deal with total trust There is something very wrong with me" I could never understand what he said at that part but it's such a great line. Wow. Why can't other guys that young be so amazing? |

I thought it was about a girl the first time I heard it. But the second time when I heard "Yeah, you ran all the lights to the hospital" I thought of Let's not shit ourselves and realized it was about his dad. This song is so nice. I would love to see Conor play this. |

This is really strange. But I thought this before I found out this song is from like 1998. I read somewhere that Conor and his good friend got really drunk and they both got alcohol poisoning and his friend died! This was like in 2002.. i think. Anyways, it's weird but this song could go with that really well. Think about how guilty you would feel if your friend died cuz you guys were acting stupid. Like you ignored a baby and they drowned in a bathtub. "I saw the future once I was drunk in a phone booth
My eyes were wet and red But I could not tell what was said" This part is really strange because it really did happen. He was drunk and that's why it happened! I love conor to death, but couldn't he follow his own advice? I know I'm completely wrong on this because the song was written before. But I'm just saying it's a weird coincedence. |

| Bright Eyes – A Line Allows Progress, a Circle Does Not Lyrics

I like how somebody compared "Try to name one thing you like You used to have such a longer list" to Catcher in The Rye. A lot of Conor's lyrics go with books. I swear, it's helping me so much with AP Lit. Anyways, this is one of my favorite Bright Eyes songs. It's really depressing but somehow with the music it doesn't sound so sad. It almost seems like there's some progress during the song. Realizeing that you have a problem is the first step. I reall like how conor and joe have seperate parts. It sounds so good. I think the glass is about how the peron is depressed and they just want it to end. In a good or bad way? That I haven't figured out yet. This EP is my favorite Bright Eyes album as a whole. |

This song is amazing. But since it is "messy" a lot of people don't like it. So many people I know say the same stuff like "conor can't sing blah blah blah" But you can actually hear and feel his emotion. Isn't the feelings, meaning, lyrics, and song writing more important? Plus I happen to |

This song is so great. I agree. Why did no one comment this song? Anyways, I think that it is about how the movies depict relationships as being so perfect. If you rely on a fake dream like that, you won't appreciate what you really have and it might go away. |
