maybe about Morrissey's affair with a teacher that was mostly about the tteacher taking and not giving. Teacher being the dominating/slighty kinky one and Morrissey not being able to escape this little affair. Which is why he wants to go home.Just a thought! |

| The Smiths – Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want Lyrics

Morrissey i think is talking about how in the past his devotion has not been repayed (by lovers, managers, band members whatever..) and has now found his match. he's pleading almost in a childlike way to 'please please please' let him get what he wants. Unbridled love and devotion. |

i always thought this song was about Morrissey and his partner (Gay of course). I think it's Morrissey's partner that is the 'shy' and 'coy' one, who secretly wants to engage of sexual acts different to the ones they already do-in other words, experimentation. Moz wants HIM to say it to bring him out of his shyness. the 'bomb' is the supposed shock of Morrissey after his partner admits it.
Ahhhhh they'll be busy tonight.....;) |

SERIOUSLY UNDERATED!c'mon people!this is bloody brilliant and how i feel right now. I go to sixth form next year, and now i have to choose the lesson i want to do. The other's where easy but then it came to my fave lessons of Art and History. I'm doing history but it's eatin' me up inside. It may seem trivial but it is.This songs says everything about re-invention, to me it seems as though a boy from a small town has left his childhood sweetheart at home to "find himself" in a big city, but he soon ralises there was no point and that although he thought he would be happy away from small-time life he just isn't. The paradox to this song i guess is "Disney Girls" about one FROM a big town settling in a big city.My fave album by the way..x |
