"Stand up straight at the foot of your love I lift my shirt up Stand up straight at the foot of your love I lift my shirt up" At the end of a long day the protagonist is getting home and is ready for bed, he is removing his shirt so that he can go to bed. "I was carried to Ohio in a swarm of bees I'll never marry but Ohio don't remember me" The exhausted protagonist was unwillingly removed from his previous home, by an almost magical but natural force. Possibly a literal swarm of bees that was commanded by some type of powerful magician. He lived in Ohio before possibly as a child and yet upon his return he is not recognized as a local. He may be dwelling in a small close knitt community, for which he expected to be remembered in someway. "Lay my head on the hood of your car I take it too far Lay my head on the hood of your car I take it too far" Clearly the protagonist is trying to escape this community in Ohio. He throws himself infront of either a stranger or old acquaintance's car begging to be driven out of Ohio. The protagonist realizes that he has gone too far and has come accross as mentally unstable and desperate. "I still owe money to the money to the money I owe I never thought about love when I thought about home I still owe money to the money to the money I owe I never thought about ? everybody I know" It is revealed that he ows some great debt to the place he has been forcibly taken to. Possibly not literal money, possibly something much greater as the protagonist expresses that he owes money two times over. He also reveals that he is at his place of orgin, although he feels no love for any aspect of this place. He had tried to forget his home, traumatic event occured there clearly. "I'm on a bloodbuzz, yes I am I'm on a blood buzz I'm on a bloodbuzz, God I am I'm on a blood buzz" The real truth of this song is revealed. The protagonist is a vampire. He had tried to shake this identity by escaping his coven and now he is back. A vampire lord of some sort had magically transported him there using a horde of demonic bees. Now he has no choice but to be on a bloodbuzz feeding off innocent people. He has realized his destiny as a vampire. He cannot escape. |

| This song is about the first Gulf War but this song could be the anthem for the current War in Iraq. Everything fits so well. Its simple and powerful. | |

| This song is a post modernists dream! We are disconnected from the original meanings things and ideas once had, and we are going through the motions. He connects it to his own relationship. People get into relationships and do things because they are suppose to and they end up embodying ideals, many times people are disconnected from those ideals, and they don't know why they do the things they do, making everything seem fake. Hell me too. Its about alienation, it is similar lyrically to many songs on OK Computer. | |

This song has to take the cake for the most depressing song ever made... Well maybe its in a three way tie, "Fake Plastic Trees" by Radiohead, and "Elizabeth on the Bathroom Floor" by the Eels are also very depressing. I love all three of those songs however for very different reasons. A lot of Bad Religions Lyrics I can really relate to, and thats why this song is so depressing "What pretension! Everlasting peace. Everything must cease." Thats exactly how I think, about the afterlife. Maybe it isn't so depressing, hell I wouldn't want everlasting peace that would be boring. "Blacktop pavement cover me Like a chemical reaction or a steam roller Spreading randomly" So goddamn depressing! |

| Could this be about how people who drive cars, while not bad in anyway are still contributing to major political and socio-economic problems throughout the world. It would make sense for sure, and I think I may be right. | |
