| Little River Band – Listen to Your Heart Lyrics | 8 years ago |

I can't believe no here mentioned this song was on the End Credits of 1989's The Karate Kid Part III and it seems like it was created exclusively for this film (since the album it was presented on came out only a year after the film). In any case, it perfectly describes what Daniel-San goes through in this film. He's no longer in high school but still gets bullied, which involves robbery and almost death. Mr. Miyagi doesn't agree to respond to the attacks. And so, using a fake personality, the lead bad guy tricks Daniel to attempt a more lethal form of Karate. Will Miyagi have a change of heart before Daniel's heart gets crashed? You'll have to see the film... |

| Sandra – Hiroshima Lyrics | 17 years ago |

This song is obviously about the first ever atomic bomb that blew up Hiroshima. Alas, I hope someone can interpret the words of this song because everything except the explosion and the shadow of a man who died too soon don't make too much sense to me. For example, what's with the little bird? With that said, if the man didn't start a war and enslaved other nations (like China), he wouldn't have "died too soon". Can you imagine a similar song about the Germans that "died too soon"? Sandra herself is German and probably wouldn't have dared to sing the same song about her own people. But there's something more phony about Hiroshima references - and that is the complete lack of Nagasaki references. It shows everyone involved never even bothered to research what actually happened. I know Sandra just covered this song, but still. |

| Crazychick85, I never thought about the song like that until I read your interpretation. Is it just your personal view or is it based on something the actual singer said? | |

| Thank you so much Crazychick85 for actually using the comments for an interpretation, and not just to hijiack this *songmeanings* site and write personal comments like "I like the song" or "good song". | |

| What's with you all and "Come pick my roses" (not flower...), when it has nothing at all on "I got a feeling, I'm ready to release"...? | |
| Robbie Williams – She's Madonna Lyrics | 18 years ago |

@DirtyDiana, this site is about songs and not their videos. And @gorjess-girlie was right about the song. The Wikipedia entry about this song even links to a BBC article that states - this song is about how Guy Ritchie dumped his girlfriend Tania Strecker (a Danish model and a UK TV presenter) for Madonna. His excuse was the chorus of this song. Robbie Williams learned this from Tania, when he was her boyfriend himself. Madonna actually approved the song per his request, as he didn't reveal the inner meaning to her. Only later Guy Ritchie realized it and therefore made Madonna not appear in the video as was planned (isn't it sad that Guy Ritchie controls Madonna?). Yes, this is basically a song about celebrity gossip but, as BBC notes, "he's clearly run out of controversial ideas for interviews now, and has opted instead to use celebrity secrets he has gleaned from his ex-girlfriends as lyrical inspiration." |

| David Charvet – Leap Of Faith Lyrics | 18 years ago |

"Leap of faith" is a term used I think mainly in Christianity. It means that logic can only take you so far. With logic alone, you'd never truly let go and take any chances. And you may miss out on life. The guy in this song is pretty obsessed with this girl and it's hard for him to see her sticking around jerks all the time ("I saw you with the look in your eyes, did he come back to make you cry?"). As for her, it seems she was hurt too much in the past to believe he's truly "different" ("Don't be afraid we get too close"). At the end, she can have all the logic in the world in her side, but true love will only come if she lets go and take a "leap of faith". If she can't take this step, he will still always have a place in his heart for her. |
