I don't think this is anything about being gay, no idea where anyone got that from... It's obviously about a new couple! They think they're so special and they're all over each other, not caring what anyone else thinks or whether they stare. At the end his insecurity shows- as he's worried he'll never see her/him again. |

Okay, so I took in ideas from the main lyrics (rjbucs28) as well as Kustard1337 and sing365 (via ConceitedStu). I added a couple of additions and changes to grammar (apostrophes now correct!) After lots of listening, I think I'm close to cracking it. ______________________________________________ Since we're feeling so anesthetised In our comfort zone Reminds me of the second time That I followed you home We're running out of alibi On the second of May Reminds me of the summer time On this winter's day See you at the bitter end See you at the bitter end Every step we take that synchronised Every broken bone Reminds me of the second time That I followed you home You shower me with lullaby As you're walking away Reminds me that it's killing time On this fateful day See you at the bitter end See you at the bitter end See you at the bitter end See you at the bitter end Everytime we're intercepted Feels 'lot like suicide Slow and sad, come in silence (See you at the bitter end) I walked a bitter mile Love to see you runnin' round Wanna stick ya now Wannabe, arms wide out (See you at the bitter end) Reach inside Come on, just try and reach inside Heard a cry Six months' time In six months' time, prepare the end See you at the bitter end! |

This song is absolutely gorgeous. The vocals and instruments weave together in such a unique way. I love songs that affect me and draw me into them and Placebo are great for that! As to the meaning, it could be the (literal) BDSM, but I get the feeling it's more about emotional dominance. He adores or even worships her (kneeling before her) and she just really doesn't care about him (beats me harder than any guy). I also think she knew he love her and she used him (her evil eye)- definitely emotionally but possibly sexually too. In that case, being on his knees could indeed be literal! |

| Eurythmics – Never Gonna Cry Again Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Another simple but beautiful song from 'In the Garden'. It's about moving on from a breakup. | |
| Eurythmics – Take Me To Your Heart Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Simple but beautiful. It's about obsession, rejection and the pain that is felt. | |

This is a not-too-subtle song about a gay guy. Never heard the phrase "a bit of Wembley" before but I think the analogy is there! p.s. Wembley is the national football stadium in England in case you didn't know. |

Here's a complete re-write of the lyrics as I think they should read: Chorus: Change around the words that you say, To suit me fine. Maxi Jazz: Predictable behavior, I crave ya, I'm driven, You're my only livin' saviour. Sometimes I hate ya, But I'm whipped, Being led head down to the crypt. Restricted like a conscript, You love to bully, I place the blame with you, Fully. Chorus: Change around the words that you say, To suit me fine... Make them mine. Maxi Jazz Don't panic, There's only we two left on the planet. I can explain... I know it happened again, It's manic, I'm standing in the flame try 'na fan it! You don't know what you got 'til it's gone, I'm at the edge of the night, Where nobody belong, Fingers are drum'n', And that's where you come. (And that's there you come) Chorus Change around the words that you say, To suit me fine, Make them mine. Listen to the voice in your head, It makes no sense, Take a rest. (I'm addicted) (I'm addicted) Maxi Jazz: I have a daemon for a wife, He delights in your pretty face and he hates my life. Takes notes on how to provoke past grief, Makes my teeth decay with the last of my self belief! Feed all day from underneath, Like a thief, I'm left weak, Barely able to speak. I seek nothing but constant supply, I can read every look in your eye. I lead with a lie: "Maybe our love will never die." Or, "Maybe it's the last time I make you cry." (haha!) Make my appeal like the condemned: "Let's go away for the weekend!" Your life I will steal and descend with it into the pit. (I'm addicted) Chorus: Change around the words that you say... To suit me fine... (I'm addicted) Chorus: Listen to the voice of your head, It makes no sense. Take a rest. (I'm addicted) (I'm addicted) (I'm addicted) (Chorus singer: I'm addicted!) (I'm addicted) I have a little problem, I have a daemon for a wife, He delights in your pretty face and he hates my life. Takes notes on how to provoke past grief, Makes my teeth decay with the last of my self belief! Chorus: Change around the words that you say, To suit me fine, Make them mine. (I'm addicted) Listen to the voice in your head, It makes no sense, (I'm addicted) Take a rest. (I'm addicted) (I'm addicted) (I'm addicted) (I'm addicted) |
